Public attention is always directed toward stars to know the secrets of their personal lives, and in this context, Egyptian actress Mona Zaki revealed special details about her life for the first time, confirming that she lost 7 children in the early months of pregnancy due to an immune disease. Zaki explained during a television interview on Sunday evening that after giving birth to her daughter Lily, she tried to get pregnant several times over the years in order to build a family, but the pregnancy failed in the early months, adding that she lost 7 children and the matter was extremely difficult, especially with her daughter's desire to have a brother or sister. Zaki also confirmed that she tried hard to resort to various treatments, and that she underwent difficult ICSI procedures to help her get pregnant and give birth again, before discovering that she had a rare immune disease that caused this problem for her. She added that after a period of starting treatment for the immune disease, she was surprised by her pregnancy at the age of forty, and despite the difficulty of the matter, she considered this pregnancy as a gift from God, as she gave birth to her second son Selim after more than 12 years of giving birth to her daughter. Furthermore, Zaki pointed out in a striking statement that she has come to realize she has entered a new phase of her life and is no longer a young woman, confirming that she now rejects roles suitable for the age of forty and considers them a previous phase that does not currently suit her, saying that when she is offered a role in her early forties she refuses it because she has passed this stage. She explained that she is currently interested in presenting roles that express her true age stage and feelings, while describing the feelings of her current age stage as being stronger in some things and more sensitive in other things. It is worth mentioning that Mona Zaki received a special honor during the activities of the ninth session of the El Gouna Film Festival last Thursday, where she reviewed stations of her artistic and human journey during the honor, stopping at experiences that shaped her awareness of acting, roles that left an impact on her career, and human and professional relationships that helped her continue the path with great success.
