Prominent Egyptian actor Sameh Hussein is currently undergoing a continuous period of domestic convalescence following his discharge from the hospital after suffering a sudden and severe health crisis that required his admission to the intensive care unit and staying under strict medical observation for two full weeks, coinciding with the spread of repeated rumors about his death across social media platforms which caused widespread concern among his fans and admirers in various artistic and popular circles. In this context, Wesam Hamed, the artist's wife, revealed the latest developments regarding his health status, firmly confirming that his condition has witnessed a noticeable and significant improvement over the past hours, and that he has successfully overcome the danger stage permanently. Hamed explained in her remarks that the medical team treating the artist issued strict recommendations regarding the necessity of obtaining complete and absolute rest at home for a full month, while staying away from any strenuous physical effort or potential psychological pressures, and strictly adhering to a specific diet, in addition to the necessity of conducting periodic medical tests and analyses weekly to accurately monitor the stability of his vital functions until he fully recovers and returns to normal life. The artist's wife also expressed her deep resentment and intense sorrow over the wave of malicious rumors chasing her husband, stressing that the circulating news regarding his death is completely devoid of truth, and affirming that the continuous repetition of publishing such news via social media networks caused severe psychological harm to both the artist and his family members and relatives. She questioned with disapproval the real purpose behind promoting and fabricating such misleading news, which only results in arousing panic and fear among his admirers and family, especially since he is still continuing his first steps toward complete recovery from his recent health crisis. The roots of this health crisis date back to the past period when the artist experienced a sudden ailment while in the city of Port Said, coinciding with his active participation in presenting his new theatrical play entitled "Box Al-Eila," which he produces entirely at his own expense. At the beginning of the crisis, the artist tried to endure and minimize what he was suffering from, believing that the matter was nothing more than passing exhaustion due to work pressure, but his health deteriorated rapidly, forcing him to leave immediately for Cairo accompanied by his wife. Accurate medical examinations showed a noticeable defect in a number of his vital functions, which called for his urgent transfer to the intensive care unit, where he underwent a treatment program and careful monitoring over two weeks, before medical data allowed his condition to stabilize and leave the hospital to complete treatment and recovery inside his home. Sameh Hussein is known for his diverse and rich artistic career, as he skillfully combined the fields of acting and directing, participated in starring and presenting multiple theatrical works, and worked as an assistant director for many years, before achieving wide fame and a major breakthrough with the general public in 2007 through his distinguished participation in the famous TV series "Ragel W Sett Settat." The film "Estensookh," produced and shown in 2025, is considered his latest work in cinema, while his recent health ailment was linked to his latest theatrical work "Box Al-Eila" which was shown on the stages of a number of theaters in Egyptian governorates.
