National Security Detains Seven Suspects on Multiple Charges Across Diyala and Nineveh

The National Security Service announced today, Saturday, the arrest of seven suspects involved in various cases across Diyala and Nineveh governorates. These security operations were conducted based on precise intelligence and judicial approvals, aiming to enhance security and combat crime. According to Arshad Al-Hakim, the official spokesperson for the Service, its detachments in Diyala apprehended five individuals. The arrests included two suspects for arms dealing and another for promoting the banned Ba'ath Party, in violation of Article (9) of the law prohibiting it. Additionally, a suspect was caught red-handed delivering a bank card activated with fraudulent data, alongside another individual involved in selling government license plates, with five such plates found in his possession. In Nineveh governorate, detachments of the provincial security directorate successfully apprehended two individuals in Mosul city. They had fired gunshots from their vehicle amidst a family gathering, which terrorized citizens and threatened social peace. The Service affirmed that all suspects and seized items have been referred to the competent judicial authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures against them.
