North Korean authorities have instructed their forces stationed along the border to respond swiftly and decisively to any threats from southern forces, heightening the risk of clashes along the dividing line between the two countries. This development follows Seoul's declaration of readiness to take firm measures against any provocations from Pyongyang, should it proceed with its threats to bolster its military presence along the border. The North Korean leadership, represented by Marshal Pak Jong-chon, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, conducted an inspection of border fortifications accompanied by Kim Yo-jong, sister of leader Kim Jong-un. Reports indicated that Kim Yo-jong confirmed new military units have been positioned at their posts along the border, signaling an escalating military stance in the region.
