The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee is working to include a legal provision within the 2027 General Budget Law, which would allow police and soldiers holding a bachelor's degree to transfer to civil state institutions. Committee member Ali Nahir clarified that this proposal grants military and security personnel with bachelor's degrees the right to submit transfer requests to various government ministries and institutions, accompanied by the transfer of their job grades and financial allocations. Concurrently, the Council of Representatives is preparing in its upcoming session to finalize procedures for the second amendment proposal to Military Service and Retirement Law No. (3 of 2010), following its initial reading. This amendment aims to regulate the career path for officers and personnel of the Ministry of Defense, addressing issues related to service, promotion, and retirement referral.
