Parliamentary Finance Committee Sets New Date for Budget Submission

The parliamentary finance committee announced today, Monday, a postponement of the submission date for the budget bill to the parliament until November 15. This decision is part of the committee's efforts to support the regularization of contracts and employees within the permanent staff, working in coordination with the government to finalize this important file. The committee chairman, Adi Awad, stated that the committee is committed to supporting the regularization of contracts and employees, and is continuously working with government bodies to achieve this. Earlier, Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi had instructed the regularization of all contracts and employees, along with the creation of 120,000 new job positions within the 2027 budget, to be distributed among provinces according to population ratios, accompanied by the launch of a dedicated recruitment platform. Meanwhile, Finance Minister Faleh Sari confirmed the allocation of funds to address the contracts and employees file within the 2027 budget, noting the adoption of a flexible oil price to cope with global price fluctuations.
