The Parliamentary Finance Committee is preparing to discuss the general budget bill, having finalized its plans for this. Committee member Ikhlas al-Dulaimi revealed expectations that the 2027 budget draft will reach the Council of Representatives on October 15th for review and voting. Al-Dulaimi affirmed, in a press statement, the committee's significant role in studying and organizing budget provisions, noting a projected deficit of around 65 trillion dinars. She added that deficit remedies will involve examining the exchange rate and Ministry of Finance measures, which has plans the committee will review later. Al-Dulaimi also reassured that employee salaries are fully secured, attributing this to escalating oil exports reaching 3 to 4 million barrels daily, alongside the Central Bank's strong reserves supporting the country's financial stability.
