Parliamentary Moves Advance to Vote on Iraq's Vacant Ministries

Political factions are finalizing negotiations regarding the complete formation of the Iraqi government cabinet, amid expectations that parliament will soon be convened for a decisive vote on the remaining vacant ministries. In this context, Ahmed Al-Muburqa, a lawmaker representing the State of Law Coalition, confirmed that ongoing talks among political blocs have reached their concluding stages and are nearly finished. He noted that the Council of Representatives is currently awaiting a session call to vote on concluding the government lineup. He added that the nominees' names will be made public once the Prime Minister submits them officially to parliament, pointing out that there is no uniform mechanism adopted by political parties for putting forward candidates. Regarding the vice presidents' positions, Al-Muburqa clarified that this matter will remain deferred for now, with precise details emerging ahead of the scheduled parliamentary session.
