President Extends Condolences for Slain Officers, Emphasizes Rule of Law and State Institution Authority

President Nizar Aamedi affirmed that the rule of law and respect for state institutions are universal duties. His statement, issued Thursday, followed the tragic martyrdom of Brigadier General Hisham Mohammed Tallaa, Director of the Al-Amanah Police Department in Karkh, and officer Khalid Abbas Lafta. Both were killed while performing their national duties in law enforcement. President Aamedi conveyed his profound sorrow for the officers' loss, extending heartfelt condolences to their families and colleagues. He prayed for divine mercy upon the martyrs and patience for their loved ones. The President emphasized that the state and its security and legal institutions are not to be transgressed upon, reiterating that the rule of law and respect for state institutions are obligatory for everyone. He stressed that no assault or transgression undermining the state's authority and constitutional duties would be permitted. Aamedi concluded by highlighting that enforcing laws and safeguarding lives and property are national responsibilities, reaffirming support for security agencies and urging firm action against those who attempt to impose their will outside legal frameworks or attack law enforcement personnel.
