Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi on Saturday directed the Ministry of Finance to secure essential allocations for treatments, devices, and medical supplies for children afflicted with diabetes. This directive followed his reception of a group of these children, members of the Diabetic Children Care Society, in the presence of the Minister of Health. During the meeting, Al-Zaidi underscored that caring for diabetic children and supporting them represents a fundamental humanitarian and governmental responsibility. He affirmed the government's commitment to providing optimal healthcare and therapeutic solutions, empowering them to pursue their lives, education, and activities normally. In line with these directives, he highlighted that the children's health needs receive direct government attention, clarifying that his instruction to the Ministry of Finance aims to bolster the Ministry of Health in securing all necessary medical provisions. For her part, Lina Samir Faiq, head of the Diabetic Children Care Society, presented the children's key needs during the encounter. She expressed profound gratitude for the Prime Minister's initiative in hosting the delegation and for his directives to ensure their treatment and medical equipment requirements. The session concluded with the children performing an expressive artistic act, embodying their strong will and self-confidence, and affirming that their condition does not impede their ability to lead full lives and achieve their ambitions.
