Prime Minister Orders Security Reinforcement, Pursues Al-Doura Culprits, Vows Justice for Martyrs

Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi on Thursday directed security agencies to intensify measures and cordon off the Al-Doura incident area, following the martyrdom of an officer and an associate during their escort of service patrols removing infringements. In a statement, Al-Zaidi expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of two security force heroes, who honorably performed their national and professional duties in enforcing law and order in Al-Doura, south of the capital Baghdad. He stated: "As we bid farewell to the heroic martyr Brigadier Hisham Muhammad Tallaa, Director of the Al-Amana Police Department in Karkh, and the heroic associate martyr Khalid Abbas Lafta, who were targeted by outlaws while accompanying service patrols to remove infringements in Al-Doura, Karara, and Hay Dijla; we affirm their pure blood, which watered the capital's land, will not be in vain." The Prime Minister is closely monitoring the health of the injured from the Ministry of Interior and Baghdad Municipality, wishing them a speedy recovery. He stressed that these heinous attacks on security and service institutions, while executing official duties, will not deter the government from its efforts to enforce the rule of law and pursue those who tamper with national and citizen security. Al-Zaidi reiterated directives for security agencies to intensify measures, cordon off the incident site, pursue all involved in this criminal act for justice, and deter anyone targeting state personnel or undermining the law's prestige, without leniency.
