Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf affirmed that the unipolar system in the world has come to an end. This statement was made via the "X" platform, in the context of his comments on the recent Russian and Chinese veto. Qalibaf stated that the joint veto against a US draft resolution, which sought to extend the mandate of the Iran sanctions committee's expert panel, prevented the exploitation of the Security Council for political purposes. He added: "The unipolar system, which allowed one party to impose its demands through force and coercion, has ended." He concluded his post by emphasizing the necessity of defending multilateralism, asserting that "unilateralism does not serve the interests of any party."
