Rise in local and foreign gold prices in capital

Trading activity in the local markets of the capital, Baghdad, witnessed a noticeable change represented by the rise in prices of Iraqi and foreign gold on Monday. Regarding market movements, gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street recorded this morning a selling price for one mithqal of 21-karat Gulf, Turkish, and European gold reaching 935 thousand dinars, while the buying price reached 931 thousand dinars, compared to 922 thousand dinars per mithqal yesterday, Sunday. Moving on to the rates for the local product, the selling price of one mithqal of 21-karat Iraqi gold reached about 905 thousand dinars, while the buying price reached 901 thousand dinars. Regarding gold prices in jewelry shops, the selling price of a mithqal of 21-karat Gulf gold ranged between 935 and 945 thousand dinars, while the selling price of a mithqal of Iraqi gold ranged between 905 and 915 thousand dinars.
