In a regulatory step aimed at controlling traffic movement and enhancing public security, the General Traffic Directorate announced on Wednesday granting owners of legally imported motorcycles and those purchased through auctions a specific deadline to officially register their bikes. In this context, the Director of the Media and Public Relations Department at the Directorate, Colonel Haidar Shaker Mohammed, explained that the time frame for registering these vehicles starts from October 18, 2026, and continues until February 22, 2027. He called on all owners to review the specialized registration sites and complete all required procedures according to the applicable legal regulations. The security official also stressed that the directorate will be forced to impose a financial fine of 100 thousand dinars against violators who do not commit to the specified period, based on the provisions of Article 25 of the current Traffic Law.
