Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretariat categorically denied on Saturday taking any direct military action in response to restrictions imposed on receiving Iranian flights. This official denial aims to dispel ambiguities arising from inaccurate interpretations of previous statements by the Council's Secretary on the matter. In its statement, the Secretariat clarified that the circulation of incorrect interpretations and quotations regarding air transport had raised questions and created confusion. It firmly denied claims that Iran would resort to reciprocal military action in response to the latest air restrictions. Furthermore, it affirmed that negotiations with concerned countries are diligently proceeding to lift these unlawful restrictions, noting the availability of several non-military retaliatory measures. These could be applied to some airports if absolutely necessary, though the Secretariat expressed hope that this stage would not be reached.
