The United Arab Emirates has emphasized the importance of strengthening its energy infrastructure amid current global supply challenges. UAE Energy Minister Suhail Al Mazrouei stated at the ADIPEC conference in Abu Dhabi that the conflict in the Middle East highlighted the need for alternative energy routes and reserves to overcome crisis periods. Al Mazrouei noted that the country is preparing for the worst-case scenarios, considering the unpredictability of future events requires high readiness. He added that previous investments in pipelines, ships, and logistics services played a crucial role in maintaining supply stability during the conflict. He stressed the necessity for producers to invest in international storage to be closer to their customers, anticipating that many companies will redesign their facilities to be more resilient in the future after the war ends.
