In the framework of strengthening diplomatic ties, Kyiv has expressed its keenness to expand mutual cooperation with Baghdad. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sent a congratulatory message to Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Iraq. According to an official statement issued by the Ukrainian Embassy, the presidential message emphasized the deep-rooted historical relations and longstanding cooperation between the two nations, underlining Ukraine’s commitment to maintaining this solid foundation while providing a fresh impetus to bilateral partnership. Furthermore, Zelenskyy reaffirmed his determination to intensify direct bilateral dialogue and enrich it with tangible, practical outcomes serving the interests of both countries and their peoples, wishing Al-Zaidi good health and success, and extending wishes of lasting peace, stability, and prosperity to the Iraqi people.
