The US Central Command confirmed on Tuesday that American forces have not withdrawn from the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing the continuation of their military presence in the navigational passage and surrounding waters in cooperation with regional partners. The command clarified in a post on the "X" platform that statements made by the commander of the naval forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard about US forces moving hundreds of kilometers away from the strait are inaccurate, noting that US forces in the Middle East remain present and continue their missions. It added that the US Central Command leader demonstrated over the weekend the ongoing American military presence in the area. The command affirmed that the United States and its regional partners control the international waterway, denying that Iran is the controlling party.
