The Prime Minister's Media Office on Saturday revealed details of the "Watan" initiative to provide one million residential land plots with infrastructure. This follows directives from Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi. The office clarified in a statement that the lands will be entirely free, designated for honorable Iraqi families whose members own no housing unit or property. An electronic registration link for these lands will be launched next October. Over 216,000 plots (first phase) are prepared across 15 governorates, with infrastructure work commencing free via contributing investors. Work continues day and night, under the PM's office, to prepare the promised million plots.
