Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi affirmed on Sunday the government's commitment to providing adequate housing for all Iraqis, alongside significant support for Anbar province as part of the agricultural initiative. Al-Zaidi launched the implementation of the one million residential land plots project under the National Initiative, allocating 50,000 plots to Anbar. The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs, the Minister of Electricity, the Governor of Anbar, the provincial council president, and several officials. In his speech, he emphasized the government's efforts to end the burdensome rental situation faced by citizens and to ensure suitable housing that guarantees a decent life for all Iraqis. He highlighted that the current phase focuses on reconstruction and development, calling for collective efforts to achieve accomplishments. He confirmed that the state supports its citizens and utilizes national resources for sustainable development while combating corruption. He also noted that Anbar will receive substantial support within the agricultural initiative, praising the province’s overcoming of the terrorism era thanks to the sacrifices of Iraqis who eradicated terrorism from its roots, and affirmed that the national willpower will thwart all attempts to sow discord and crises among the people.
