This came during a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the Jordanian capital, Amman, where bilateral relations were discussed along with the latest developments in the Palestinian arena and occupied territories. Al-Zaidi reaffirmed his country's firm and principled stance regarding the Palestinian cause, stressing the importance of joint efforts to support the Palestinian people and enable them to reclaim their legitimate rights. For his part, President Mahmoud Abbas expressed his appreciation for the meeting, praising the significant efforts made by the Iraqi government in supporting the Palestinian cause and protecting the rights of the Palestinian people.
