Within the framework of continuous efforts made by security forces to combat negative phenomena and crimes related to fraud, the Baghdad Al-Rusafa Police Command announced on Friday that its security units managed to apprehend an individual involved in practicing sorcery and witchcraft within one of the capital's areas. A statement issued by the command explained that the security operation was carried out through joint coordination between the Third Sadr Police Department and the Tariq District Police Station, resulting in precise investigations and tracking that led to locating and arresting the suspect red-handed. The command indicated that upon searching his location, thirty-seven locks bearing people's names were found in his possession, in addition to seizing a variety of other tools and materials used to carry out those misleading acts. The statement concluded by confirming that the suspect was duly detained at the specialized police station in preparation for taking all necessary legal procedures against him in accordance with the law.
