Baghdad International Airport: First Package Launched to Ease Entry by Keeping Passengers in Vehicles

The Ministry of Transport announced on Tuesday the launch of the first package of measures aimed at facilitating passenger entry to Baghdad International Airport, as part of a comprehensive plan to enhance the travel experience. Airport Director Harith Al-Obaidi stated this package aims to reduce waiting times and improve entry flow, confirming it as an initial step towards procedural simplification. New measures involve passengers remaining in their vehicles during security checks at entry gates, instead of disembarking. K9 units will also be deployed for inspections, accelerating procedures and reducing gate congestion. Al-Obaidi noted this phase will undergo field monitoring and evaluation, paving the way for further procedural simplification, while consistently upholding security requirements.
