The Baghdad Municipality has announced the launch of a comprehensive development and rehabilitation campaign covering all areas of the capital, scheduled for completion by the end of 2027. The Mayor of Baghdad, Ammar Mousa Kazem, confirmed that the campaign will implement development works across all city districts, focusing on infrastructure and service improvements. He highlighted that the municipality has paved over 800,000 square meters of roads within an exceptional timeframe, a significant achievement compared to similar projects carried out by relevant authorities. He added that the main goal is to complete all projects under the municipality's responsibility, including those listed under the Emergency Support Law, especially the ongoing overpass projects, which are expected to be fully completed by 2027. He emphasized that the campaign will cover every area, neighborhood, and alley in Baghdad, assuring that no part of the city will be left without development and rehabilitation efforts befitting the residents of the capital. The major campaign is set to continue until the end of 2027, contributing to enhancing services and improving the quality of life in the city.
