Health Minister Issues Order to Relieve Health Inspection Officials After Two Years

The Minister of Health, Abdul Hussein Al-Mousawi, issued an order on Friday to relieve all heads of inspection and health monitoring departments in health directorates across the capital and provinces who have served two years or more in their positions, establishing this as a continuing policy for the coming years. According to a ministry statement, the decision aims to strengthen the supervisory and evaluative role over governmental and private health institutions, monitor the performance of restaurants, factories, production centers, warehouses, pharmacies, and hospitals in both public and private sectors, address improper practices, and enhance health oversight. The minister also directed a thorough practical evaluation of department and division heads whose tenure is less than two years. The statement indicated that the selection of replacements will be conducted in consultation between the relevant health directorate and the departments of inspection and public health at the ministry's central office, under the direct supervision of the minister.
