In Baghdad, the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced on Friday the arrest of a suspect accused of a violent assault on a child. This immediate action followed the widespread circulation of a video clip documenting the incident across social media platforms, which prompted an urgent security response to address this regrettable event. The PMF clarified that a force from the intelligence branch of the 4th Regiment, part of its 30th Brigade, in close coordination with the Ashour Police Station, successfully apprehended the individual. The force confirmed that the arrested suspect is the same person shown in the widely shared video, which vividly captured his aggressive assault on the child. The operation was initiated after careful monitoring of the circulated clip and securing the necessary judicial approvals for the arrest warrant. Following the completion of all standard procedures, the suspect was handed over to the competent authorities for further investigation and to initiate legal proceedings to ensure justice is served.
