The Rapid Response Division Command announced today, Saturday, the apprehension of the perpetrators involved in the assassination of the water director of Abi Saida sub-district in Diyala province. A force from the Command succeeded in arresting three suspects implicated in the assassination of Director Abbas Jawad Hussein, following the tragic incident that recently occurred in the sub-district. In this regard, the Command affirmed that the security situation in Abi Saida sub-district is stable and continuously improving. It emphasized that law enforcement operations are ongoing and continuous to pursue all those wanted by the Iraqi judiciary, with the aim of ensuring that no one involved escapes justice. The Command urged media outlets and social media users to exercise utmost accuracy and caution when reporting and circulating news. It also called for avoiding being drawn into baseless rumors that might aim to promote a sense of insecurity and instability in the sub-district, stressing the necessity of relying exclusively on official and accredited sources for obtaining information.
