During ongoing field sweep operations aimed at clearing liberated regions, the Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday the martyrdom of two soldiers and the injury of two others, caused by an explosive device left behind by ISIS terrorists in Nineveh Governorate. The ministry explained in an official statement that the incident occurred while conducting a search and inspection duty north of the Rawa desert, south of Nineveh, specifically within the operational sector of the 27th Infantry Brigade under the 7th Infantry Division in the Al-Jazeera Operations Command. It noted that the wounded soldiers were evacuated to the hospital to receive the necessary medical treatment. The statement emphasized that army forces will continue, with unwavering resolve and firm determination, performing their national duties around the clock, relentlessly pursuing terrorist elements, drying up their resources, striking their hideouts, and denying them any safe haven, until eliminating their remnants and consolidating comprehensive stability nationwide.
