Interior Ministry takes strict legal measures against residency violators in September

As part of its continuous efforts to regulate residency files and enforce the law, the Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday the implementation of legal measures against 6,020 residency violators during the past month of September. In this context, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Colonel Mohammed Ali Al-Hassoun, stated in an official release that the number of arrested residency violators reached 1,760 individuals, distributed as 783 in Baghdad and 977 in the governorates. Al-Hassoun added that the number of deportees amounted to 4,260 violators, with 2,425 in Baghdad and 1,835 in the governorates. He pointed out that these strict measures come within the framework of the Ministry of Interior's diligent efforts to track down individuals violating residency conditions and apply standard legal procedures against them firmly.
