Postponement of trial sessions for eleven French defendants transferred from Syria

The capital witnessed prominent judicial developments regarding the files of detainees coming from neighboring countries, as it was decided to postpone the consideration of sensitive judicial files. In this context, it was officially decided to postpone the consideration of the files of a group comprising eleven individuals holding French nationality, who had been previously transferred from Syrian territory, where they face charges related to terrorism cases, for the competent judicial authorities to decide to reschedule their trial dates to be distributed over different dates during the last days of the current month. The relevant court examined the files of these French defendants coming from Syria, and new trial dates were adopted covering the twenty-sixth, twenty-seventh, twenty-eighth, and twenty-ninth of October. This temporal distribution of the defendants across the mentioned dates comes based on the judicial procedures pertaining to each file separately, at a time when no further data or details regarding the course of the anticipated trial sessions have emerged.
