She emphasized a simple self-observation led to early detection, resulting in a positive outcome that inspired her to transform her experience into a public awareness message. In a video on her social media, Faia detailed last summer's events: she noticed a small mole on her back. She felt it was new or long-unnoticed. Though she decided to have it examined, months passed. A dream then compelled an immediate doctor’s visit. Faia reported the doctor promptly recommended the mole's removal for lab analysis. Two days later, results confirmed skin cancer. Younan then underwent wider surgery to remove surrounding skin, also examined to ensure no remaining cancerous cells. The artist recollects these moments with profound emotion, expressing "tears of gratitude" that the condition was caught before spreading and subsequent tests were clear. Beyond her personal narrative, Faia Younan converted her experience into a public awareness campaign. She deemed her story's happy conclusion worthy of sharing: "This is my sweet story with cancer, and I call it sweet because its ending, for me, was happy." A year since her experience motivated this sharing "as a form of awareness." Faia underscored the vital importance of observing skin changes and seeking timely examination, affirming health vigilance and personal responsibility can genuinely save lives.
