Government Decision Extending Central Admission Applications

Within the framework of ongoing governmental efforts to support students' academic journeys and ensure equitable opportunities for all to enroll in higher education institutions, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on Saturday an official decision to extend the deadline for submitting applications to various central admission channels until Wednesday, October 7, 2026. According to the details provided in the official statement, this decision directly includes the main central admission channels, which encompass the general channel, as well as channels for distinguished students, martyrs' families, direct admission, elite student admission, and student admission to the College of Excellence in Arabic Language and Literature at the University of Kufa. The official authorities emphasized that this step primarily aims to provide sufficient opportunity for all graduating students from the first and second examination rounds to complete all application requirements accurately and review their available options and admission prospects within the aforementioned channels without any rush. In a related context, the ministry noted that the application forms for both the private governmental university education channel, known as parallel, and private university education will be officially launched at a later time, immediately following the announcement of central admission results. It explained that the application process for these two channels will be conducted exclusively in a centralized and electronic manner via the designated Qadam platform application, stressing that students are not required to visit any governmental or private university for application purposes.
