The Iranian Army announced on Tuesday that it practically implemented a "preemptive strike strategy" during the conflict, targeting locations it described as "separatists" in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Brigadier General Akrami Nia, spokesperson for the Iranian Army, stated that they launch "a war or a preemptive operation" if they "conclude that the enemy will launch an imminent attack." In a separate context, Nia indicated that his country "does not deny the passage of a small number of ships and small quantities of oil from Hormuz," but described this passage as "insignificant compared to pre-war levels."
