The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmail Baqaei, confirmed the visit of Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, to Tehran. He explained that the visit is part of ongoing consultations between Iran and Qatar aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and consolidating peace and security in the region. Baqaei praised Qatar’s efforts in recent months to help prevent the escalation of tensions following the US and Israeli aggression against Iran. He affirmed that the Qatari Prime Minister will discuss with Iranian officials ways to continue Qatar’s mediation efforts and initiatives, as well as review the latest developments in the region. Meanwhile, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the continuation of diplomatic efforts with parties involved in the US-Iran tensions to bring them back to the negotiating table, according to the ministry’s spokesperson.
