This statement was made in a post on Mojtaba Khamenei's account on the X platform, following the Iranian attack which was carried out in response to new American strikes targeting Iran on Tuesday evening. This escalation comes as part of an ongoing confrontation between Washington and Tehran that began on Sunday night, when American forces targeted the Iranian Lark Island. Washington stated that it had detected launch platforms preparing to fire missiles loaded with naval mines. Iran responded by targeting American forces' positions in the region, with the Revolutionary Guard announcing the shelling of two airbases hosting American forces in Jordan, in addition to Al Minhad Airbase in the UAE.
