The spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Noaman, announced the seizure of 15 platforms used for launching drones, asserting Baghdad's firm commitment to preventing any security breaches targeting neighboring countries. Al-Noaman appreciated Saudi Arabia's stance aimed at de-escalating the situation, following recent attacks that targeted the Kingdom and originated from Iraqi territory. He emphasized that Iraq "will not be part of regional tensions," confirming that security agencies are pursuing any party using weapons outside state control. Investigations into the recent attacks are ongoing, with high-level committees present in Maysan governorate to conduct inquiries, coinciding with the implementation of a series of security measures in the province. Al-Noaman also confirmed the issuance of "firm directives" to dismiss negligent security officials, noting plans to deploy sufficient security forces in Maysan. He reiterated that Baghdad will not tolerate any breaches affecting neighboring countries or the use of weapons outside state institutions.
