The Prime Minister of Iraq, Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi, and his Jordanian counterpart, Jafar Hassan, presided over the signing ceremony on Monday for nine memorandums of understanding and executive programs aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries across various fields. The signed memorandums cover several areas, including cooperation in competition and anti-monopoly efforts, environmental protection, and collaboration in higher education and scientific research for the years 2026 to 2031. The agreements also include cooperation in consumer protection, document and archive management, and collaboration between the diplomatic institute and the foreign service institute in Iraq. Additionally, the agreements establish mechanisms to support small and medium-sized enterprises, an amended version of the executive program for cultural cooperation for 2026-2028, and the executive program for educational cooperation during the same period. This initiative reflects ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral relations and develop joint cooperation across vital sectors between Iraq and Jordan.
