Iraq's Ambassador to Iran, Yasser Abdel Zahra Al-Hajjaj, announced on Wednesday the official commencement of a prisoner exchange process between the two nations, under the close supervision of Supreme Judicial Council head Faiq Zidan. This initiative marks the launch of the first batch of the exchange starting today. The ambassador's statement followed a meeting with the Deputy Head of the Iranian Judiciary, Judge Siraj. Discussions during the meeting centered on implementing existing judicial agreements between both parties and reviewing the outcomes of the Supreme Judicial Council head's recent visit. These joint efforts aim to bolster judicial cooperation and coordination between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq.
