The Parliamentary Finance Committee announced Tuesday that Iraq's financial reserves total 109 trillion dinars, a sum sufficient to cover employee salaries for ten months, assuring that staff wages are fully secured. Committee member Mansour Al-Baiji stated that "the committee recently met with Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi, Finance Minister Faleh Al-Sari, and Central Bank Governor Nizar Nasser Hussein," adding that "the nation's financial standing is sound and stable." He further noted that "the Central Bank Governor confirmed during the meeting a 109 trillion dinar reserve in the treasury, sufficient for approximately ten months of salaries, alongside gold bullion and other revenues," reiterating that "salaries are completely guaranteed." Al-Baiji also highlighted "agreements between the Finance Committee, the Finance Minister, and the Central Bank Governor to devise solutions for the ongoing financial crisis."
