The Iraqi government spokesperson announced on Thursday that Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi would travel to the United States next week. The visit includes important meetings, most notably with US President Donald Trump. Spokesperson Haider Al-Aboudi clarified that the Prime Minister is scheduled to deliver a speech before the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The planned visit agenda also encompasses meetings with several other heads of state. Al-Aboudi further pointed out that September 30 marks a significant sovereign indicator, after which the relationship with Washington is set to transition towards long-term economic cooperation.
