Chinese President Xi Jinping stated today, Friday, that his country and the United States have reached a consensus on maintaining stable trade relations and expanding cooperation in all fields.
Jinping confirmed in press statements this Friday morning, following talks with US President Donald Trump in Beijing: "We have reached a consensus on maintaining stable trade and economic relations and expanding cooperation in various fields, as well as reaching an appropriate settlement of outstanding issues between the two countries."
For his part, President Trump stated that "China and the United States reached during his visit a number of important agreements, concluded several contracts, and resolved many issues."
This comes at a time when the US President described his visit to China as successful and unforgettable, noting that "US-Chinese relations are extremely important and will certainly continue to improve."
