The Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Regional Government announced on Monday the deposit of 831 billion and 666 million dinars into the Ministry's bank account at the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq, to fund the salaries of the region's employees and retirees for August. In its statement, the Ministry mentioned that the Federal Ministry of Finance deducted 120 billion dinars, similar to previous months. This amount represents the federal treasury's share of the region's non-oil revenues for August, from the total salary funding. The Ministry added that this also includes the non-transfer of 6 billion, 30 million, 166 thousand, and 545 dinars from the August salary funding, which covers outstanding salary dues for past months for civil and military retirees. The Ministry indicated that immediately upon the completion of procedures and the cash receipt of funds from the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq, the salary list will be published directly, and the distribution of August salaries will commence as soon as possible.
