ماذا حدث في إسلام آباد؟.. 3 ملفات عالقة تُبقي العالم على حافة التصعيد

Iranian officials said reopening the Strait of Hormuz, uranium issues, and frozen assets were unresolved in talks with Washington in Islamabad.

According to The New York Times, three major disputes remained until Sunday morning.

These include the strait, nearly 900 pounds of highly enriched uranium, and about $27 billion in frozen oil revenues.

Officials said Iran refused to give up control over the strait without a final peace deal.

They added that Donald Trump demanded Iran surrender or sell its uranium stockpile.

Tehran presented a counterproposal, but no compromise was reached.

Iranian official Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf met JD Vance in calm talks.

Negotiations in Islamabad ended without agreement despite long discussions.

Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said partial understandings were reached.

He confirmed talks will continue with other parties.

Meanwhile, Vance stressed the US will not compromise.

He said 21-hour talks ended without agreement.
