As part of ongoing judicial and security efforts to combat organized crime, the Maysan Criminal Court issued a judicial ruling on Wednesday sentencing two convicts to life imprisonment for drug trafficking offenses. According to official data released by competent judicial authorities, security forces successfully seized twelve bags containing crystal meth in the possession of the defendants, with a total weight of one kilogram intended for distribution and sale among abusers. This strict verdict was issued based on enforceable legal provisions, specifically Article 27, Paragraph One, of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017.
