The Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities, and Public Works announced that the first batch of residential units within the integrated Al-Jawahiri City project is expected to be delivered within a period of two to three years. The project encompasses approximately 24,000 residential units designed under a horizontal building system. Nabil Al-Saffar, the Ministry's spokesperson, clarified that Al-Jawahiri City is considered one of the significant new residential cities, which has been awarded to a consortium of Iraqi and Chinese companies. The project spans an area of 7,121 dunams and aims to establish a fully integrated residential city featuring over 370 diverse service facilities, including schools, nurseries, kindergartens, health, religious, and cultural centers. Al-Saffar added that the city will also include youth centers, central markets, shopping malls, cafes, restaurants, police and fire stations, post offices, fuel stations, and other essential services. All these are designed according to the highest urban development standards and modern housing specifications. Al-Saffar indicated that work on the city is currently in its first phase, with the land ownership already transferred to the Al-Nasr Wal-Salam Municipality in Abu Ghraib district. The completion of other necessary administrative and technical procedures, such as land segregation and unification, is underway to ensure the project adheres to the agreed-upon timeline. It is anticipated that the delivery of the first phase of these residential units will take place within the specified period. The Al-Jawahiri residential city project offers a variety of design patterns and unit sizes to meet different needs. Units are available in 200 square meters (types A, B, C, and D), 250 square meters, and 300 square meters (with two distinct patterns for each size), in addition to luxurious villas spanning 600 square meters.
