New Administration Appointed for Al-Jazeera Secondary School Following Community Protests in Diyala

The Education Directorate of Diyala Governorate announced on Thursday the appointment of a new administration for Al-Jazeera Mixed Secondary School in the Mohamad Sakran subdistrict, following a protest organized by a number of parents and students. According to a statement from the directorate, the General Director of Diyala Education, Ali Matlik Al-Humairi, assigned the Director of the Supervision Department, Khudair Jawad Al-Jubouri, to follow up on the matter on the ground after the demonstrations at the school. Supervisor Sabah Adnan Al-Rubaie visited the school and met with representatives of the parents in the presence of the subdistrict director and security leaders to listen to their demands and understand the reasons behind the protest. Subsequently, the supervisor accompanied the school principal and several parent representatives to the directorate's headquarters, where the General Director received them and discussed their demands directly. The meetings resulted in the school principal submitting a request to be relieved of his position and transferred to another school, while a replacement was assigned to manage the secondary school to address the situation and contain its repercussions. This step aims to ensure a stable school environment and regular attendance, preserving the students' right to continue their education in a stable educational atmosphere.
