In a move reflecting developments in the file of financial management and obligations between Baghdad and Erbil, relevant authorities in the Kurdistan region have revealed details regarding the funding process for public sector dues. Within this context, the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan region announced, on Thursday, the deposit of September salary amounts into its bank account, noting at the same time the deduction of specific amounts from the total salary allocations by the federal Ministry of Finance. The ministry stated in an official release that a massive financial amount has been deposited as funding for the September salaries of employees and salary recipients in the Kurdistan region, inside the approved bank account of the Ministry of Finance and Economy. The statement added that, similar to the procedure followed in previous months, the federal Ministry of Finance deducted a portion of the funds as a share of the federal non-oil treasury revenues for September from the total allocations. The ministry continued by explaining that an additional amount was also deducted from the September salary allocations, representing the dues for civilian and military retirees for previous months and periods. Concluding these details, the concerned ministry affirmed that the salary distribution schedule will be officially announced and published during the same day for everyone to review.
