Official data from Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism showed that Iraq topped Arab countries in tourist arrivals during February 2026.
The number of Iraqi visitors reached 67,592, the highest among Arab nations.
Algeria ranked second with 20,413 tourists, followed by Saudi Arabia with 20,043, and Egypt with 14,365. Lebanon recorded 13,633 visitors, Libya 11,488, Morocco 11,333, and Jordan 10,092.
Tunisia recorded 9,205 tourists, while Kuwait had the lowest number at 4,245.
This trend is attributed to strong economic and cultural ties, as well as convenient travel between the two countries.
