The media office of the head of the State of Law Coalition stated in a statement that "the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, received in his office the Minister of Finance, Faleh al-Sari."
Al-Maliki expressed his "welcome to the Minister of Finance, wishing him success in his new mission, as the meeting discussed the economic and financial conditions in the country, and stressed the importance of supporting financial stability and enhancing government plans aimed at improving the service and living reality of citizens."
The statement added that "the meeting addressed the necessity of proceeding with economic reforms, and activating developmental programs, contributing to diversifying income sources and supporting the general budget, as well as the importance of cooperation between political forces and government institutions to overcome current challenges and maintain economic stability in the country."
