In a move widely welcomed within tourism circles, the administrative board of the Mesopotamia Association for Tourism Promotion in Iraq congratulated Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi on the completion of the government cabinet, while extending congratulations to the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ali Abdul Hadi Al-Dakhil, on assuming his new duties. The association praised the dedicated efforts of Prime Minister Al-Zaidi and relevant authorities in separating the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities into an independent body, viewing this step as a fundamental pillar for revitalizing the tourism sector. Association President Dawoud Shammo noted that the organization had previously demanded this structural separation, emphasizing that Al-Zaidi's decision strengthens sustainability and development across Iraq's tourism sector. Shammo underscored that this major initiative will reflect positively both domestically and internationally, actively helping showcase and highlight the rich historical, religious, and cultural landmarks across Mesopotamia.
